All surfaces where vinyl lettering is to be applied should be free of all dirt, grease and loose debris. Most surface can be cleaned with common industrial or household cleaners.
Position lettering on surface with tacks (small pieces of masking tape) on each side and measure. (Then measure again!)
Apply masking tape horizontally over the top edge of the lettering to serve as a hinge.
Cut between each letter or number so that each is independently hinged from the top.
Starting at right (if right handed), flip one section over. Remove the backing that comes adhered to the vinyl lettering. The backing should be separated from the vinyl letters slowly so that all the letters remain fastened to the transfer tape.
Hold lettering away from surface with one hand and allow adhesive to touch only as pressure is applied with a squeegee. Start at the top center of the lettering working down and outward to each edge of mask. Then go back to the top and work down again.

Completely squeegee entire copy with force
Slowly remove the transfer tape from the lettering observing that the letters stay adhered to the desired surface as you remove the tape. If some of your vinyl begins to stick to the transfer tape rather then the desired surface simply press the transfer tape back down and rub over that area again. repeat this step until the vinyl adheres to the surface.
